The Texas Stock Exchange (“TXSE”) officially launched trading Friday, becoming the first new major U.S. stock exchange to debut in decades. Based in Dallas and backed by investors including BlackRock, Goldman Sachs and Charles Schwab, the exchange plans to begin corporate listings later this year and facilitate initial public offerings starting in 2027, positioning itself as a competitor to the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq.
TXSE said it aims to capitalize on the rapid economic growth of Texas and the broader “Boom Belt” region, which it describes as the new center of American capitalism. The exchange is currently operating from temporary headquarters in Dallas and plans to relocate to the Bank of America Tower, where it will establish the Texas Market Center.
