NeuroOne (NASDAQ: NMTC) reported the successful completion of three large-animal procedures using its next-generation StereoCED(TM) platform as part of an ongoing preclinical epilepsy research program at the University of Minnesota. In two procedures, NeuroOne drug delivery electrodes delivered a study agent directly into targeted brain tissue while also recording intracranial electrophysiological activity from the same regions, a combination the company believes has not previously been demonstrated in convection-enhanced delivery. The procedures were designed to establish technical feasibility and validate the integrated surgical and drug delivery workflow.
NeuroOne said the repeatability demonstrated across the three procedures provides additional confidence as it advances toward the planned launch of StereoCED(TM) for human investigational clinical studies later this quarter. Development of StereoCED(TM) devices for animal use was completed ahead of schedule, allowing sales to begin earlier than anticipated, with related revenue expected to be recognized in fiscal fourth-quarter 2026. Development of devices for human investigational use remains on track for release by the end of fiscal fourth-quarter 2026.
