Mullen Automotive (NASDAQ: MULN), an emerging electric vehicle (“EV”) manufacturer, has announced key personnel additions to support its commercial EV van and truck program. According to the announcement, the company has appointed Tyler Jordan as senior director of commercial sales, Matt Nevious as director of commercial sales and strategic accounts, and Jacob Frenning as director of commercial sales Mid-Atlantic. The new hires were a result of an extensive due diligence process and countless interviews with highly sought-after individuals, the company noted in the announcement. Jordan brings more than 13 years of experience to his new position. He has been involved in driving profitability, growth, and process and program enhancements to service high-volume, multimillion-dollar accounts. Most recently he spent five years with Merchants Fleet, where he played a key role in the growth of the company’s last-mile delivery segment. Nevious also comes from Merchants Fleet, where he was a key player in the growth and optimization of key accounts, particularly within Amazon last-mile operations, where he spearheaded the development of innovative programs tailored to the unique needs of clients such as Amazon and FedEx. Frenning has garnered more than 15 years of sales and leadership experience in automotive service, commercial sales and fleet management sectors, serving in operations, sales and management positions. He brings strong contacts with fleets to his new role.
“Our commercial growth continues, and it’s encouraging to see our sales efforts expand into new opportunities,” said Mullen Automotive CEO and chair David Michery in the press release. “Fleet management companies and last-mile delivery represent a significant portion of vehicle sales volume in the commercial segment, and focusing on these important categories positions us for strong future growth opportunity.”
