Gratomic (TSX.V: GRAT) (OTCQX: CBULF) (FRA: CB82) has kicked off an outreach initiative designed to support improvements at the J.S. Herero Primary School in the Bethany District of Southern Namibia. The residential primary school was also the site of a kick-off event where the initiative was announced and where Gratomic team members witnessed firsthand the opportunities the initiative will have to make a difference. The facility, while clean and tidy, has fallen into disrepair, with almost all features of the building, including the kitchen, residences, classrooms and exterior, needing repair. Current plans call for new flooring, paint, windows, linens and furniture as well as additional classroom resources, playground equipment and library books. The initiative calls for the establishment of a 5 million Nambian-dollar (approximately C$454,000) trust fund set up for the school. “Gratomic is founded on the belief that children are our future, and because of that, we set out with the aim of contributing what we can to the local communities,” said Gratomic CEO and president Arno Brand in the press release. “It is our goal to create a lasting legacy for generations to come, we are dedicated to providing support to youth in Namibia so that they can gain access to opportunities that wouldn’t have otherwise been available to them.”
