FingerMotion (NASDAQ: FNGR) entered into a binding memorandum of understanding to acquire land rights and permitting for a 9.9 megawatt behind-the-meter power generation and compute site in the County of Newell, Alberta, approximately 185 kilometers southeast of Calgary. The site represents the first acquisition in the company’s planned Brooks Campus Zone, where FingerMotion intends to assemble separately owned and permitted 9.9 MW sites as demand for powered land develops. Adjacent to an operating third-party natural gas facility, the site is designed to generate and consume power behind the meter without requiring a grid interconnection request, transmission service arrangement or position in an interconnection queue. FingerMotion is targeting a fully permitted site within 120 days of release to work and plans to advance energization only against contracted demand backed by a take-or-pay agreement and funded customer deposit.
