The panel will feature an all-woman panel of cannabis-industry executives, with panel members discussing women consumers of cannabis-infused beverages and drinks as well as the implication of portability, palatability and sociability on product development, branding and marketing. Panel members will include Meagen Anderson, director of Highway Horticulture, a midwest vertically integrated cannabis production facility and wholesaler; Lisa Hurwitz, president of Happi, Michigan’s first THC-infused beverage; and Wendy Berger, IWC cofounder and board member; the panel will be moderated by Amor Montes De Oca, IWC executive director. This year’s Illinois-based Cannabis Drinks Expo is slated for Aug. 2, 2022, in Northlake, Illinois; the event takes place in Illinois and California annually. This year’s theme is “Growing the Category,” and agenda offerings focus on providing key information about developing new products, expanding into other states by enabling networking opportunities with other state manufacturers; helping retailers and distributors develop their own brands; and discovering new ways cannabis beverages can be marketed and sold.
