The facility received its federal Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (“CLIA”) license following an inspection that found no deficiencies and has secured out-of-state licenses from California, Maryland, Rhode Island and Pennsylvania, with New York licensing in progress.
Cardio Diagnostics said bringing processing in-house is expected to provide greater control over costs, quality and turnaround times while improving unit economics as sample volume grows, with the company targeting gross margins of approximately 40% at scale. Current turnaround time is seven to 10 business days from sample receipt. The facility also includes a research laboratory supporting the company’s work in precision epigenetic methods and development of a high-precision cardiovascular health monitoring system.
